This two-day conference organised by the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine, The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, will take place at the America Square Conference Centre, America Square, London, UK. Please find attached a map of how to reach the venue.

The 2-day conference will focus on the latest research and new developments in Perioperative Medicine. The topics will include preoperative assessment, intraoperative care and focus on post operative care. The meeting will be fully accredited with the Royal College of Anaesthetists for 10 CPD points.

L’ITALIA DESTINAZIONE N° 1 IN EUROPA
PER CONGRESSI ASSOCIATIVI ORGANIZZATI
Il gotha delle eccellenze italiane e degli esponenti di associazioni internazionali, gli opinion leader della meeting industry si sono incontrati nella seconda edizione di Italian Knowledge Leaders al Politecnico di Milano per disegnare il mondo Mice del futuro. Un progetto nato dalla collaborazione tra Enit e Convention Bureau Italia sotto il patrocinio del Ministero del Turismo.
Un percorso avviato per mettere a sistema un supporto strutturato e collaudato a disposizione delle Istituzioni Italiane, delle destinazioni e delle aziende private operanti nella Meeting Industry a favore dei knowledge leader italiani.
Istituzioni, operatori e oltre 40 personalità del mondo accademico italiani (medici, scienziati, ingegneri, architetti, ecc.), con importanti cariche all’interno di associazioni internazionali, insieme per discutere della filiera della meeting Industry fondamentale al rilancio dell’Italia turistica.
Vari gli ospiti in programma che si sono alternati tra i diversi panel per un incontro multidisciplinare che ha visto, tra gli altri, il professor Walter Ricciardi, Past- President della World Federation of Public Health Associations (WFPHA) e il professor Ferruccio Resta, Presidente CRUI e membro del Board di Italian Knowledge Leaders.
Se nel 2021 l’Italia si è posizionata al 5º posto per il numero di congressi ed eventi organizzati, la ricerca preliminare di quest’anno, discussa nel corso dell’evento ed effettuata da CBItalia ed Enit, ha invece sancito l’Italia destinazione n° 1 in Europa per congressi associativi internazionali organizzati; un numero importante per una Mice Industry (acronimo che sta per Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) che potrebbe variare entro la fine dell’anno, ma che evidenzia un trend positivo del nostro Paese e che fonda la sua azione su valori quali la collaborazione e la diffusione della conoscenza, finalizzati a creare una connessione virtuosa tra il progresso scientifico e le ricadute economiche e sociali che i convegni associativi sono in grado di generare ai fini di favorire una società basata sulla conoscenza.
