Dear Member of Faculty:
On behalf of the Board of the World Society of Intravenous Anaesthesia, would like first of all to thank you for your contribution to the Second World Congress of TIVA/TCI in Berlin in April of this year. We realise that you all have busy schedules and that there is significant sacrifice involved in writing abstracts, preparing a world class presentation, and travelling around the world to contribute to this meeting, not to mention the time away from your usual clinical commitments, your departmental responsibilities and family life. So, thank you! We are still a young society, and your contribution is important as we all work hard achieve our dream for a high scientific quality international meeting in Berlin 2009. The aims of the World Society of Intravenous Anaesthesia might be unfamiliar to some of you. We have listed them on our website, which you can review by clicking here. Our dream is that we will be able to bring all the international scientific community and clinicians with an interest in TIVA/TCI under the one World SIVA umbrella with the overall purpose of meeting the aims outlined above; particularly to promote knowledge and safety in this area of our speciality. We would therefore like to invite all the members of the Faculty for the Berlin 2009 meeting to consider becoming members of the World Society of Anaesthesia. If you would like to know more information about World SIVA, a copy of the bylaws is available by clicking here (80kB). The website also contains instructions (in multiple languages) on how to subscribe to World SIVA using the PayPal system under the left hand "Member Menu" on our website. The subscription is a modest €10 EURO per year, which we hope makes membership accessible to everyone. The annual subscription will also give you access to a Members' Site. Thank you again! Quirino Piacevoli President, WorldSIVA
