Dear All,
I hope that this find you well. I think that in absence of any comments on my most recent email I want to ask Charles to post the following notice to worldsiva.org and opentci.org.

"Currently, the Open TCI Initiative does not have a home within a recognized society. Various options have been proposed; these include Eurosiva, UKSIVA, the European Society of Anaesthesiology, World SIVA, the International Anesthesia Research Society, the International Society of Anaesthetic Pharmacology, and the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation. During the month of November 2008 the members of opentci.org discussed the preferred home society. The near unanimous vote was for World SIVA."

"As president of World SIVA, I am delighted to accept the vote of the members of the Open TCI Initiative that World SIVA becomes the home society. This will be formalized at the next World Congress of TIVA-TCI in Berlin, April 2009. I would like to emphasize that the goals of the Initiative match very closely two of the aims of World SIVA; that is to improve intravenous anaesthesia delivery systems, including target controlled infusion (TCI) technology and to establish an international network for the exchange of information and expertise about intravenous anaesthesia."

I hope that you agree on my initiative.
Best wishes
Quirino
